Welcome to Top Dawg BJJ, a fun and top-tier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in Del City, Oklahoma! We are a veteran-owned academy that treats every person like family. Our door is open to everyone. Show respect and love on the mats, and you’ll receive the same in return. On the mats, we make sure to enjoy our time training while still getting down to business. Not only is it a fun time, but our martial arts classes improve students’ physical fitness while giving them a mental release from the world’s stressors. If there’s one thing that defines us, it’s our commitment to a simple but powerful concept: no man, woman, or child left behind. We are veteran-owned and are a truly family-oriented Jiu-Jitsu academy that treats each other as such. Our team is easily approachable, as we stay friendly and open while not sugarcoating anything. This mentality allows us to push students to be their best selves while supporting them every step of the way. We push students a little more every time, showing them they can go further physically and learn the complexities of martial arts. Become your best self and find a second home at Top Dawg BJJ!
Our History
Top Dawg BJJ owner Dayvon McCarrell began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2009 after serving in the Air Force. In this new adventure, Dayvon quickly learned what many do in BJJ – you must always work hard and stay humble. He saw that – even with his background – he couldn’t dominate right away. Nevertheless, he pushed forward and started racking up accomplishments, including multiple IBJJF titles and medaling at Master Worlds. After years of training, Dayvon wanted to bring a Jiu-Jitsu academy closer to the Tinker Air Force Base and Del City. In 2018, Top Dawg BJJ’s doors opened and we’ve grown exponentially ever since, adding more classes as more students joined. As time goes on, we continue working toward our goal to have everyone who walks through our doors feel at home.

Our team of instructors is equipped with everything they need to make your experience great. They have amassed over 75 years of Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts experience. Each one has developed their own unique styles while staying heavily grass rooted in the foundation of BJJ and self-defense. Explore Our
Programs
We offer Jiu-Jitsu programs for all types of athletes and aspiring athletes at Top Dawg BJJ.
Our BJJ classes start as young as 5 years old, with two kids programs and an adult program. Is Jiu-Jitsu all we do? Not at all! Top Dawg BJJ can be considered a martial arts academy as well, with a Kickboxing class and Judo incorporation into BJJ. Make sure to come in with gym shorts, a t-shirt, slides, and a water bottle and find the right class for you and your family and join our community!
Little Bulldogs Jiu-Jitsu
(ages 5-8)
Our Kids Jiu-Jitsu program is split into two parts so our younger kids can develop correctly. In the younger classes, we start with a strong focus on BJJ basics and fundamentals, making sure we go step-by-step in the process.
Kids Jiu-Jitsu
(ages 8-15)
Our older kids Jiu-Jitsu program is where students begin to become proficient on the mat. While we continue the basics and fundamentals from the younger class, we place a greater emphasis on technique, foundation, and mental and physical control. Our students learn to improve their BJJ and self-defense skills while also improving the mental aspect of martial arts.
Adult Jiu-Jitsu
Our adult BJJ classes focus on the ground roots, rooted in traditional, old school Jiu-Jitsu. The training has a heavy foundation in the basics, and focuses on blending the tradition with modern day techniques.
Kickboxing
The Kickboxing program allows students to improve their fitness greatly. At the same time, we work toward being technically sound and proficient in all the basics.
Judo
Judo training at Top Dawg BJJ is incorporated with Jiu-Jitsu. We don’t have a Judo-specific class, but you’ll find our Friday classes heavily integrate Judo training to work with BJJ.
